made simple.

About made simple.

The crossover between technology and creativity has always fascinated me. It's shaped my career since I started working in computer-aided design back in 2002.

As the tools change, so does what's possible. And I've spent a lot of time exploring that relationship.

The tools have evolved.

I've watched some pretty significant changes in how creative work gets done.

  1. Computer-aided design

From technical drawings and 3D models to photorealistic visualisation.

  2. Digital & web

From static graphics to websites, animation and interactive experiences.

  3. Real-time

From waiting hours for renders to creating and exploring environments in real time.

  4. AI & agents

From using software to make things, to directing systems that can increasingly do the work.

And now there's AI.

I'll admit, this one feels different.

I've spent years learning skills that AI can now reproduce aspects of in seconds. There's a part of me that still finds that uncomfortable.

But I've spent my career adapting to new tools. I'd rather understand this one than ignore it.

So, I'm putting it to the test.

Made Simple is somewhere to explore ideas and see what I can make with AI.

Some projects are useful. Others might be completely pointless. Sometimes I just want to make something because I think it'll be interesting.

I'm interested in how far one person can take this, while maintaining the same design principles, creative direction and attention to quality I've always worked with.

Whether any of it works remains to be seen.

That's part of the fun.
